Notes on Archangels Viking Strat
- This tactic allowed Vikings in Tournament to become completely independent with his economy and have good start while running a horseman army.
- Explore and mage first 950 turns (last 50 build up archers). Search only for all land first 600 turns. First 500 turns convert 60% new plains into forests. Last 300 turns search only for plains. Dont` build any farms and gold mines.
- Build up first mage towers as soon as you don't need more town centers to send more eplorers and later keep turns for one research level between 2.5 and 3.5 turns per level.
- Play every turn first 3 years, every 2-3 turns till 500 turns, 6 turns for the rest of the explore/mage run.
- Sell iron on local market during the first 300 turns then sell it on public market for 90-110. Buy food with new money and send more explorers.
- Stop exploring on the 850th turn. Build woodcutters on 25% forests. Use all new wood, food and iron for making bows, horses and swords. Build up 50%/50% archers/horseman defence last 60 turns and put all stuff you don't on the market with highest prices.
- Then you`ll make your attack run, keep as much hunters as you need to upkeep your army. On the money from iron try to buy wine. Be sure you have 3x weapon you need at the moment before every attack run. Use 60% horseman, 40% swordman army during attack runs.
- Before mage run change the forests you don't need as hunters or woodcutters into plains.
