Murdoks Frank Strategy Notes:
- This is designed for exploring basically.
- From the start of the round explore for all plains mostly. Send your explorers for all land if you need forest and mountains for producing more wood and iron.
- Don't get too much mountains and forest, just as much as needed to supply you with wood and iron for your buildings.
- In protection, sell extra wood and iron on local market. By selling wood and iron you gain the gold needed for your requirements - mostly for your mage towers.
- Later in the round explore for all plains only. Sell food on local market if you badly need money, but if you want to be really rich you should sell your food on public. From this time buy all iron, wood and tools that you need.
- Population is a problem for Franks, it increases slowly. So you should keep your food rationing on extremely high or very high - you have a lot of farms, but farms need a lot of workers, hence you need huge population.
- Every winter check if you have enough food for all your people as farms doen't produce any food from october to march.
- Turn off your toolmakers production! Buy tools for you builders on local market, or better on public market if prices are lower there. Keep in mind that your tools gets burn out just 2 times each year: every may, and every october. So at these times you should check if your builders haves enough tools for your building needs. (And I hope you read the docs and know that every builder need 1 tool) :)
- Build towers for defense, but only at the end of your explore run. Keeping towers while your run doesn't make it worthwhile.
- Of course you should take your turns as fast as possible. In protection play turn by turn. Once you leave protection and if there are many unfriendly people around you then you better play turns quickly to reduce the chances of people hitting you as you make your explore run. Check on your status at least once a year to ensue you have food for the winter months.
