- Maces
- Maces are produced by weaponsmiths. The actual production is set via the management screen. 6 wood and 6 iron is needed to produce 1 mace. Maces are used by macemen.

Land Used: 8 plains Building Cost: 50 wood, 50 iron and 2000 gold Workers Needed: 20 Production: 1 research point every month Consumption: 100 gold to produce 1 research point Notes: mage towers are expensive to build and time consuming. They also use a lot of gold so be carefull when you build them. To control what to research, go to research screen.

Land Used: 4 plains Building Cost: 20 wood, 2 iron and 250 gold Workers Needed: 6 Notes: 1 market allows you to trade or aid 50 goods each month.
- Markets Research
- For each 1% markets research you will be able to aid/buy/trade/sell an additional 10% more goods.
- Military Loss Research
- For every 1% of military loss research your army losses during battles will be reduced by 1%. This is limited to 50% and does not affect towers, army or catapults.
- Mine Production Research
- For every 1% mine production research your iron and gold mines will produce an additional 1% resources.

- Mountain
- This can be used to build gold mines or iron mines depending on your civilisation. If Byzantine, then all mountain land should be made as gold mines. However, most other civilisations will benefit more by solely building iron mines and selling off the extra produced to fund their economy until much later in the game
