- Space Effectiveness Research
- This affects your housing and storage. For each level of research your housing (houses & town centres), will hold an additional 5% population while each level also increases storage in Warehouses & Town Centres by 5%.

- Starve
- If you do not feed your population and army then they will starve. This will cause a % of your population and army to leave.
- Summer
- During summer your population does not need to use wood for heating although they will still require to be fed. Your farms will also produce food and during exploring should find more land.
- Swords
- Swords are produced by weaponsmiths. The actual production is set via the management screen. 25 iron is needed to produce 1 sword. Swords are used by swordsman and horseman. They are also used by Viking Berserkers, Frank Paladins, Japanese Samurai and Byzantine Cataphract.
- Swordsman
- Good attcking unit with relatively poor defense
